Be part of the Winter film community, supporting the IFWC

The International Festival of Winter Cinema is the world’s greatest free, outdoor winter film festival. With its inaugural festival held in 2018, the IFWC celebrates local, Canadian, and international cinema about winter, mountain life, polar regions, and Indigenous perspectives.

At IFWC, our annual, free, outdoor winter film festival, we will include screenings of winter, local, northern, mountain, and Indigenous films over several nights on our famous snow screen! Your sponsorship will not only bring in filmmakers from all walks of life; it will support an emerging festival continuing into its seventh year and beyond.

If you are interested in any of the sponsorship packages or require further information, please contact us at info@ifwc.ca.

IFWC is held every year on Indigenous land in Treaty 6 territory. This place – amiskwacîwâskahikan – is a traditional meeting ground, gathering place, and travelling route of the Nêhiyawak, Anishinaabe, Niitsitapi, Métis, Dene, and Nakota Sioux. Peoples whose histories, languages, and cultures are the basis of our connection to this land. Land settled, travelled, and cared for by Indigenous Peoples since time immemorial to the present day. Treaties have been affirmed. Treaties have been broken. We acknowledge these truths as a reminder that we are all Treaty People bound to one another by the spirit and intent of Treaty.
