As a non-profit, IFWC raises funds to present local and international cinema with winter, alpine, and polar themes in any style or genre.
Through your generosity, we are able to support filmmakers from all walks of life, including Indigenous peoples and immigrants, who can tell their stories from unique perspectives.
As a smaller festival, any support is appreciated!
Dates & Location
February 9 to 18, 2024
The International Festival of Winter Cinema is excited to announce that we will be joining Silver Skate Festival for the 7th year in a row in a new location - Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park - where we will continue our unique environment, and stay free to attend.
Perks & Benefits
IFWC appreciates in-kind donations that we can award through our silent auction, raising funds that are given back to the community through artist fees. In the past, our silent auction has included items from ski resort tickets, to restaurant gift certificates, to film and theatre tickets.

Silent Auction - audience members have the opportunity to bid for great products and services from the local community
In-Person Donations - cash / e-transfer
Volunteering - lending us your time is one of the greatest gifts we could ask for!
